Spicy, but not in the expected sense. This isn’t your typical cardamom or pepper heat. The spice here is warm and golden. I immediately suspected saffron was in the mix, and sure enough, it’s there.

What really surprised me is how this scent manages to be both ambery and fresh at the same time. The resins bring in that richness, giving it a warm hum, but there's also a zing, not citrus exactly, but a lightness that keeps the warmth from ever feeling stuffy or syrupy. I can also smell the anise, maybe that's what adds a little spicy sparkle. It’s sweet, spicy, resinous, and yet not heavy.

This is a perfect winter scent, but it has enough lift to also work in early spring or a cool summer evening. It’s complex, soothing, and quietly powerful - my top pick from the entire discovery set.
