Super mario world sp special

Last night, Nintendo revealed a trio of new additions for Nintendo Switch Online’s SNES and NES apps. However, once the apps were updated, users noticed that Earthworm Jim 2 was not the only new addition to the SNES app! Nintendo also added two “SP” versions of Super Punch-Out!! and Super Mario World. The special versions of the two games allow players to enjoy all of the content unlocked from the start. It’s a neat way for players to experience everything these games have to offer, even if they don’t have the time to put into unlocking everything.

These SP releases have been somewhat common on Nintendo Switch Online. On the SNES app, both Super Metroid and Super Mario Kart both previously received SP versions. On the NES app, there have been far more offerings, including SP versions of Super Mario Bros. 3, Kirby’s Adventure, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Blaster Master, and more. It’s nothing too significant, but it does give players something extra to check out!

It’s unclear why Nintendo didn’t include these SP releases in its announcement, but it should prove a nice extra for subscribers. Nintendo

Nintendo Switch Online adds Earthworm Jim 2, Super Mario World SP, and more

It’s been a while!

Nintendo Switch Online is closing out March 2022 with a trio of retro games — Earthworm Jim 2 on the Super Nintendo front, Mappy-Land and Dig Dug II on the NES side — plus a pair of SP versions for eternal SNES favorites Super Punch-Out!! and Super Mario World.

With this Nintendo Switch Online drop, a lot of Earthworm Jim 2 takes are flying around, and it’s definitely not the same game I remember renting multiple times in the ’90s.

I really prefer the sequel — I find the first game to be needlessly frustrating to play more often than not, and Earthworm Jim 2 to be a little more entertaining with (admittedly still stressful) levels like Lorenzen’s Soil and Puppy Love. The series felt “big” back in the day, and my childhood friend group even watched the cartoon, but it feels very of its era.

As for Dug Dug II, the overhead view never clicked with me as much as the original game’s presentation — heck, Dig Dug is still one of my favorite high-score chasers to this day — but I want to give it more of a chan

Nintendo Switch Online adds SP versions for Super Mario World, Super Punch-Out!!

Yesterday’s Nintendo Switch Online update brought along Earthworm Jim 2, Dig-Dug II, and Mappy-Land. In addition to that though, a couple of new SP versions have been added for Super Mario World and Super Punch-Out!!

With Super Mario World, players can see a whole new observe for the game – the same as it would be after beating the Special Earth. As for Super Punch-Out!!, the Championship Edition lets players get on every circuit from the start of the game.

Here’s some additional information:

Super Mario World SP

In the Super Mario World game, the look of the society helps give the game its atmosphere. This special version gives that look a twist. Once you clear the Special Planet and arrive back in Dinosaur Land, you’ll notice things are a little different from how you remember them… Why not start a fresh adventure to see what this strange earth has in store?

Super Punch-Out!! Championship Edition

In this special version of Super Punch-Out!!, you can get on every circuit and every opponent. On top of the Minor Circuit, Major Circuit, and World Circuit optio

Nintendo Switch Online Adds Special Versions of Super Mario World and Super Punch-Out

The Nintendo Switch Online subscription service contains a library of games for fans to explore on the Nintendo Switch. Subscribers to Nintendo's online service can play through a variety of retro titles from the earlier days of the company's history, as well as third-party games that have been published for these earlier systems. The service has received regular updates ever since its introduction in 2018, with new games being added every few months.

The latest addition to the service was announced recently, with three new games added to the NES and SNES catalogue. These were shown off in a trailer, announcing that some certified retro classics of these systems were coming to the service, including Dig Dug 2, Mappy-Land, and the delightfully wacky Earthworm Jim 2. What the trailers didn't show off were two new Special Versions of existing titles on the service, Super Punch Out!! Championship Edition and Super Mario World SP.
