World of warcraft hide helmet
Fashion is important to many people in MMO’s, but it can be difficult or expensive to coordinate an outfit while levelling since you’ll be swapping equipment out regularly. So if you’ve got a powerful but gross helmet, or simply want to see your character’s face, here’s how you can hide your helmet in both Classic and Retail versions of World of Warcraft.

How to Hide your Helmet and Cloak in WoW Classic
If you’re playing WoW Classic, hiding your helmet is easy. You just have to travel into the ESC menu and select options, then interface and scroll down to the Demonstrate Helm checkbox. Un-check it to hide you helm, and you can also hide your cloak this way if you really don’t like the stubby minute ones you get at subdued levels. Do note that other players can still see your helmet even with this option on, as it only works for you.
How to Hide your Helmet and Cloak in WoW Retail Version
For Retail WoW players, your method of hiding your helmet is slightly more deeply interested but also has more options. You’ll need to use the Transmog system added a not many expansions after launch to camouflage your helm, but it’s stil
Helm Hide Classic
This is a Classic version of my Helm Hide addon It works just ilke in the olden days so API functions are available. Because of that Classic version doesn't unequip your helmet/cloak, instead it will just hide it in resting zone and show it when you leave resting zone.
You can choose to either hide both helm and a cloak or just helm/just cloak. In addition you can choose to have helmet only during combat. To do that just go to the interface settings and select addons or use slash command /hh <option> or /helmhide <option> to turn on the mode you like. Here's the list of options:
- on - it will autohide both helm and claok in resting zone
- helm - it will only autohide helm in resting zone
- cloak - it will only autohide claok in resting zone
- off - it won't do anything in resting zone, you can still hide helm and cloak using special buttons
- combat - show helmet only in combat
- rest - hide helmet only in resting areas.
There are also two buttons on the character panel you can use to hide helmet or cloak and show.
Helm Hide
With new Transmog system you no longer can show/hide your helmet in interface options, API functions are also gone. This my workaround this problem for people like me, who like to hide their helmets while in resting zones. Now addon, instead of hiding helmet, simply unequips it and puts it in the 4th bag and then equips it when you leave resting zone. So to if you want to be helmetless in cities you have to have at least one slot free in your 4th bag otherwise helmet will still be on your head.

How To Hide Helmet In World Of Warcraft? [FULL GUIDE]
In World of Warcraft, you can change the appearance of the characters with plenty of customizable options.
There are cool pieces of equipment like helmets, cloaks, shoulders, chest pieces, silver hands, and so on.
WoW also allows you to hide all these equipment if you want. Here we will discuss how to hide helmets in World of Warcraft during the gameplay.
What Are WoW Helmets?
Helmets are called ‘Helms’ in Wow. You will get a wide variety of headgear in the game.
So you can keep experimenting with your character’s appearance and stats.
But sometimes they might appear clumsy and unattractive to your characters, even though they have beneficial stats. So, hiding the helmet is the best compromise possible here.
How To Hide Helm on WoW?
Previously, WoW had a feature to hide the helmets with just a click if you did not want your characters to appear as wearing them.
This way the actual helmet did not show up on the character’s face, but it still kept the effects of the helmet for the character.
But this feature is replaced by a new one called ‘Transmogrification’ that was released with Patch 4.3.0.

I miss this feature so much. ;( i love my helmet but sometimes i like to take it off and put it back on again quickly, having to go to the transmog vendor just for that is a huge pain, is there anyway this can be brought back? :(

Removing features seem to be the theme of Legion.
Less informational stats, removed cape and helm toggle, removed glyphs.. etc
We apparently have more fun with less toys and tools. Gotcha.
