Anyway, is there actually any reason to assume this is even going to be available to players? Because it seems like it is entirely related to the Arathi. And we don’t act as the Arathi… as far as we know.

So we learned that half elves are now the Arathi people. Now the question is when such customization(and really this is at this point a question of if and not when) such customization options will be given to humans/kul tiran/void and blood elf. Because right now it is purely an NPC option.
I expect we will get some sort of “night elf black eye” sort of questline being added mid expac.

I think they should just be added as regular character customisation. No unlock required.
Theyre not arathi customisation as far as i can tell. Just half elf. And we already have half elves in universe.

There are many half elf children in the RPG, but thats not canon. especially since Daelin Proudmoore cheating on his wife with a High elf is rather problematic lmao.

there are 3 known living half elves in-game, 2 twin sons of Vereesa and 1 son of Alleria. Thats it.
if Kael’thas managed to marry Jaina, we would have had a Half elf prince of Quel’thalas. but no.
i would also argue the Dracthyr visage is half elf, which the dragons love transforming into for some reason.

How would a Half-Elf race work? In lore (most) Half-elves are Humans and Blood/High elves so i think that would be the base for the race

How would a Half-Elf race work?
Step 1: Pick a Night Elf, Blood Elf, or Void Elf.
Step 2: Choose the medium or short ear option.
Step 3: Roleplay as a Half Elf.
Step 4: Profit.

The problem I see with Half-elves is that their niche has effectively been filled by the Barber Shop (for Void Elves and Blood Elves) and the move towards all Races eventually becoming all classes (or, at least, Shaman, Paladins and Druids).

What would be cool would be glyphs to change your race tag to one of these.

The problem I see with Half-elves is that their niche has effectively been filled by the Barber Shop (for Void Elves and Blood Elves) and the move towards all Races eventually becoming all classes (or, at least, Shaman, Paladins and Druids)
True, all they REALLY need to do now, is give an option for the men to have chest hair, or an actual full beard close to the face, like a combo of “Chin Strap” and “Full” that Blood Elves currently have, and they’d then fit the classic Half Elf vibe.
They admittedly already can do that on the female end.
