When you go to Disney World, there are rules you have to follow to ensure everyone stays safe.
Animal Kingdom
Most of these rules are self-explanatory and familiar rules you’ll find at other theme parks — no running, no horseplay, no fighting with other guests or workers. Disney, however, does have some additional rules. For example, anyone over the age of 14 is banned from wearing a Disney costume to the parks, and no masks are allowed to be part of any costume. But is it possible that another interesting rule could make it to the parks due to shoe safety, effectively BANNING a popular shoe?
According to Today, an anti-Croc movement is beginning around the country, but not because of the controversial style (which has honestly been a debate since they were released in 2002 — you either love them or hate them, for the most part). No, the concern for Crocs here stems from a potential safety hazard.
No Crocs allowed on Disney World escalators
Specifically, dozens of schools in 20 different states have banned Crocs in their dress codes, citing them as unsafe. Some students at Bessemer City High School in Alabama have worn
If there’s one thing that we can guarantee you about a day at Disney World, it’s that you’re going to perform a bunch of walking.
Many people report walking 5, 8, or even more than 10 miles per day on a Disney Park day, so your feet will thank you for paying attention to what shoes would be best

But what about rules for shoes at Disney World? We have seen flip flops prohibited on rides in some theme parks, so does Disney World have that rule?
The answer is no. Disney Planet doesn’t have any specific rules about what shoes can be worn and where — except for one! The rubberized clog-style shoe made famous by the Crocs brand is prohibited on escalators around Disney World.
Our friends at Disney Food Blog utter this rule came about because of some accidents involving children wearing Crocs on escalators in the Disney Springs Parking Garages. We actually spotted some shoes STUCK in the escalators at The Land pavilion in EPCOT, which gives you a lovely clear image of why this rule is in place.

Real or rumor: Are Crocs allowed at Walt Disney World?
Has Disney banned Crocs? Images of apparent stickers at Walt Disney World has gone viral on social media, appearing to indicate Crocs are not allowed on some escalators at the theme park. Coincidentally, Disney does sell Croc-themed shoes. Turns out, these stickers have been around for a decade.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Have Crocs been banned on escalators at Walt Disney World? Nah.
A recent post on X, formerly Twitter, has gone viral and spread across the internet appearing to show stickers on some escalators indicating not to wear the popular shoe on them.
Is this legit? Is it new?
Reportedly, Disney World has experienced incidents involving Crocs becoming entangled and causing disruptions to escalator operations.
The issue gained widespread attention after an online article highlighted the park's precautionary measures. FOX 35 has learned that this isn't new guidance – and dates back to at least 2014.
The stickers were added a decade ago as a general safety reminder and did not specifically target the popular shoe brand.

Can you really wear CROCS all day long at Disney ??
Disappointment! Sadness!
I was in agony. Using my best Boy Scout first aid skills I had to pop several blisters that were in critical areas etc. and bandage them just so I could hobble around the 4th day.
And I put on my good, old, reliable tennis shoes with cushy socks! After that I wore nothing but tennies!
But before the blister bonanza my feet were extremely comfortable, never hurt and were cool and comfortable! Unlike my tennis shoes, my feet never overheated! And it was super easy to get through TSA airport security!
Now my Crocs are assigned to the back of my closet for gardening, painting and maybe shower wear!
I probably should have alternated shoes from the start also! Duh!!!!
We can say from experience that we see a LOT of Crocs around the Disney World parks. But could that be changing in the future?
We literally go to Disney World for a living, so we know that one of the most important tips for hanging in there during a Disney day is to wear shoes that are comfortable for lots of walking. But if Crocs are your go-to choice for comfy shoes, here’s why you might want to think twice before packing them for your next trip.
We see tons of people wearing Crocs around the Disney parks. In fact, you can even find some adorable Disney-themed pairs in the gift shops around the resort.
But could the golden age of Crocs in Disney World potentially be coming to an end?
Many schools around the country have started banning Crocs in their dress codes due to the safety hazards they can present. Bessemer City High School in Alabama is one such school that specifically banned Crocs, and school Principal Stoney Pritchett explained the decision, “It’s actually a safety hazard,” he said. “Man, they can twist the knees, twist, twist the ankles, things like that.” Additionally, some schools have said that the Jibbitz students ca
